It was good to see a lot of new members come up. A few Corner Inlet Motorcycle Club members came up as well, plus the guys on the sidecar, which was fascinating for a lot of the kids and some adults I think who had never seen a sidecar in action. The tracks were in pristine  condition and the kids had smiles on their faces all day. Saturday night was an excellent night for catching up with a few light refreshments. Dancing and lots of laughs were had by all. Sunday the kids had a few laps of the motorcross track before heading to the hill climb.

The weather gods smiled on us and we had a nice sunny day.  The track was awesome and catered for all bikes and ages. The Nippers on their little peewee 50’s had great fun getting air off the ski jumps.  The umm more mature riders had fun trying to mix it up with the young guns. Ned Kelly even did a kinda nic nac over a jump (showing off to Hannah who was taking photo’s), which he landed by the skin of his teeth. The Corner Inlet club really looked after us with a great canteen and an awesome track. It was a great day that was enjoyed by all that attended, and we hope to have more days down there next year.

]]> http://www.kooweerupmcc.com.au/events/previous-events/event-of-bla-bla-bla/feed/ 0 desert ride 2010 http://www.kooweerupmcc.com.au/events/previous-events/desert-ride-2010/ http://www.kooweerupmcc.com.au/events/previous-events/desert-ride-2010/#comments Mon, 27 Sep 2010 00:56:24 +0000 Brenda Corkery http://localhost/mc/?p=11 Continue reading →]]> desert ride was a great 2day ride in some of the best country in the world, 43 riders started the ride on the first day .the pace along the dry river beds would make a police officer shake his head.nick from the warragul club was the first casualty for the day with a over the bars tripple pike with his bike higher than the dust plume, he got a free flight by the r.f.d.s to broken hill then to adelaide with a torn pancreas .nudgee went through a wire fence after he didnt see the corner man, he had a wrist as big as football with a few cuts but all was good, then there was sketz who was doing 190 km (on a wr 250 2 stroke) when he crashed and busted his shoulder,he had a nice ride back in the ute to camp! the country had changed heaps from last year with lush green paddocks and deep water ruts that kept everyone on there toes. the scenery was amazing with wild life every where ,especialy the old roos that tried to out run you on full hop. day 2 was just as impressive with a visit to a neighboring station wher we had lunch and caught up with casey cherry with his new polaris buggy , after lunch was a short ride up to mt waren where most of the guys climbed it, the view was spectacular and we could see where we rode from and where we were heading. saturday nights dinner was roast beef , mutton, and veg cooked in 10 camp ovens by the guys in the shearing shed,  a few sips where had around the campfire with bench racing and the normal hanging shit on each other. the 2 days of riding where great and the company was even better, a big thanks to dicko and vanessa for letting us stay on your property and a huge thanks to lou and leo for organising this great weekend, cant wait for next year

The Kooweerup Motorcycle Club had 21 members compete in the Victorian off road series, in all classes from pro’s to juniors. They all did very well with Kooweerup members taking 5 of the top 10 places. Daniel Milner sucessfully defended his number 1 board in pro outright, as well as Alex Stephenson defending his junior number 1 board.
